Robyn Sevastos



Robyn began her initial studies in her native Australia where she graduated from MelbourneUniversityas a Bachelor of Music with first class honours in performance. She performed extensively as a piano soloist and accompanist and subsequently moved to England to continue her studies with Ruth Nye. She completed a postgraduate diploma course in piano accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama together with an A.R.C.M. diploma in performance from the Royal College of Music followed.

She has accompanied a broad spectrum of singers and instrumentalists and is currently fully occupied as a repetiteur, accompanist and music director with a number of opera companies and musical institutions including Kentish Opera, Pimlico Opera, Mid Wales Opera, Hastings Opera, Cameo Opera, Arts Anglia, Sounds Lyrical the Malcolm Sargent Festival Choir and London Opera Players. Robyn has recently been appointed Musical Director of the Llantilio Crossenny Festival.

She accompanied a series of concerts in Seville for Cameo Opera and has performed at Sandringhamfor HRH The Prince of Wales. In addition, she is professor of piano at the Blackheath Conservatoire of Music, chorus mistress for Commedia Productions and musical director of the Bromley Philharmonic Choir.

Her opera conducting includes Iolanthe and the Magic Flute for Kentish Opera, La Traviata, Tosca and Carneb for Opera Nova and productions of La Traviata, Madam Butterfly, The Marriage of Figaro and Tosca for Cameo Opera. She conducts Falstaff Tosca and The Italian Girl in Algiers for London Opera Players.
